Three Ways to Cover Your Patio

It depends on what you want. A louvered roof gives full control — open for sun, tilt for shade, close for rain. A solid patio cover is set-and-forget shade + rain protection. A pergola gives architectural definition and partial shade but no rain coverage. Most homeowners booking a consultation aren't 100% sure when they call — we walk you through all three on-site.

Pergolas are the most affordable (small free-standing builds can start around $8K). Insulated patio covers fall in the middle. Louvered roof systems are the premium tier (motorized aluminum at this scale, with sensors and accessories). All three are quoted custom — we measure your patio, talk through options, and give you a fixed number at consultation, no surprises later.

Pergolas: 2-4 days on-site. Patio covers: 3-5 days. Louvered roofs: 2-3 days for the install itself, but lead time for the structure to ship adds 2-4 weeks before we can start. We tell you the realistic timeline at consultation.

For most residential patios, permits usually aren't a hurdle — and when a project does need one, or your HOA wants paperwork, we take care of it so you never deal with city hall. Permitting and engineering matter most on restaurant and commercial builds, and we manage that side from start to finish.

Often, yes. Many of our installs include side screens, integrated lighting, ceiling fans, or motorized retractable elements on top of the base structure. If you want a fully turnkey outdoor room — structure + kitchen + lighting + heating — we coordinate with your kitchen and electrical contractors and stay involved through the whole build.
